Q: How much is shipping?

A: All domestic shipping is free! 

 

Q: I just placed my order. When will you ship it out?

A: Your order will be shipped out within 3 business days of ordering. We will roast your coffee within 2 business days of receiving your order. Once we roast it, we let it sit overnight to degas and then ship out next day so that it is delivered to your door as fresh as possible. Your next order will arrive 2 weeks after that, and so on.

 

Q: What if I want to change the amount of coffee I am sent?

A: We are happy to make adjustments to your subscription at any time. Simply email us at info@beachcitycoffee.com and we will make the adjustments right away. We know that our four subscription levels may not match up with the amount of coffee everyone drinks, and welcome custom subscription requests.

 

Q: What if I want to skip an order?

A: Simply email us at info@beachcitycoffee.com and we can input a skip for you.

 

Q: Is my payment information secure?

A: Yes! We use PayPal (PayPal.com) for our one-time/gift orders. For recurring transactions we use Stripe (stripe.com) and MoonClerk (MoonClerk.com) to manage the recurring subscriptions. 

 

Q: What if I want to cancel my subscription?

A: You can cancel at any time using either of these two methods: email us at info@beachcitycoffee.com and we can immediately cancel your subscription, or click the link at the bottom of your Beach City Coffee emails that says "plan management", then click the tab to "Cancel Plan."

 

Q: Where do you get your green coffee beans?

A: We source our coffee from a local green coffee bean supplier that selects only the “best of the best” coffee. This includes coffee from Central America, South America, Africa, Indonesia, and Asia. We choose coffee that is fair trade and certified organic whenever possible. Additionally, we do our best to send different beans every month so that you can explore the world of coffee and try different flavor profiles.

 

Q: Will you remind me when my next coffee order is coming?

A: Yes, we will notify you via email when we are about to send out your next order.

 

Q: What if I don’t like the coffee?

A: We meticulously choose our green coffee beans, and lovingly roast them to perfection. Your satisfaction is 100% guaranteed. If you are unhappy, email us at info@beachcitycoffee.com and we will refund you. We can also work with you if you have particular preferences.  

 

Q: Where is Beach City Coffee located?

A: In the beach city of Santa Monica, CA.

 

Q: I noticed that you don’t ask me whether I prefer light, medium, or dark roasted coffee. Why not?

A: We believe in roasting based on the specific qualities of the coffee bean, and our carefully crafted roasting style is what makes Beach City Coffee sing with flavor. Additionally, we found that those that are new to artisanal coffee often misunderstand these roasting terms. On average, lighter roasts are more acidic, and darker roasts can have more of a burnt taste. Occasionally both of these profiles can be really great, but other times they don’t work as well with the beans. We typically go for a more medium roast, but it does vary slightly depending on the green coffee beans we have that month. If you are an avid coffee drinker, and do have a specific preference, we recommend you try our coffee first, but if you still want us to provide you with a lighter or darker roast, please email us and we are happy to make adjustments.
